During this 3-hour excursion you will see all the major highlights of Moscow. We begin our excursion with visit of the Red Square, a unique architectural ensemble which is included into the world heritage list of UNESCO. Here are situated the most known abroad sights of Moscow such as the Kremlin with its ancient red walls and towers, the Cathedrals of St. Basil and Our Lady of Kazan, the biggest History museum of Russia, trading arcades of GUM, Lenin's tomb and necropolis. Not far from Kremlin is situated Russia's spiritual revival, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour (the Cathedral of the Redeemer) at which you will make a break as well. We will pass the Theatre Square with the world famous Bolshoi theatre, historical boulevards and streets with its memorial places. During the excursion you will see the New Maiden Convent, a fortress and monastic ensemble of the 16th century. You will see the Moscow State University Campus and make a break on the panorama platform on the Vorobiovy (Sparrow) Hills from which you will enjoy a splendid view to the city of Moscow.

Besides the main attractions during your Moscow city tour you'll have a chance to visit one of the most beautiful monasteries in Russia, the New Maiden Convent. It is a charming place, rich in the spirit of the past. The Convent was founded in 1524 by Grand Prince Vasili III in commemoration of the conquest of Smolensk in 1514. It was built as a fortress at a curve of the Moskva River. The Novodevichy Convent was known to have sheltered many ladies from the Russian royal and noble families. The architectural ensemble of the Convent represents combining traditional Russian architecture with some compositional devices of the Moscow baroque architecture. The oldest building of the Convent is the Smolensk Cathedral (1524). Among the interiors of the cathedral you will see frescoes and icons of the 16th and 17th centuries.

We invite you for a fascinating Moscow trip on foot. During leisurely stroll at Moscow city center you will have a chance to see places of interest illustrating practically all periods of Russian history: Russian Orthodox and old-believers churches, houses of Moscow merchants Ivan Tsvetkov and Pavel Tretyakov where they arranged art galleries on base of their private collections, former confectionary “Einem” (“Red October” after “Great October revolution” in 1917) founded in period of industrialisation in the middle of the 19th century , classical Demidov's mansion (the end of the 18th century) with unique cast-iron fence made at his famous metallurgical factories in the Ural, fantastic samples of Moscow merchants' charity (House of free flats for widows with children and for studing maidens for means of brothers Bakhrushin, House of free flats for widows and orphans of Russian artists for means of Pavel Tretyakov), grandiose monuments of Soviet period (famous «House on the Embankment» specially built for Stalin's establishment, House of Soviet Writers, the House of Artists), monument to Peter the Great and a lot of other places of interest. About 6 km on foot. Start: metro station “Park Kultury”, end: metro station “Tretyakovskaya”.

After the capital was transferred to St.Petersburg Armoury was merged with the Fiscal Yard, Stables Treasury, the Master Chamber and was renamed into the Arms and Master Chamber. In 1806 Alexander I of Russia nominated the Armoury as the first public museum in Moscow. The Kremlin Armoury boasts unique collections of the Russian, Western European and Eastern applied arts from the 5th to the 20th centuries. You can see here tsars’ thrones, golden and silver tableware; articles, decorated with enamel, imperial carriages, weapons, armour, Faberge Easter eggs etc. (Please be aware that every Thursday the Kremlin including the Armoury and Diamond Fund are closed for visiting, Diamond Fund is also closed every last Friday of the month).

All Russian monarchs added their contributions to the Chamber. The treasure was first exhibited to the public in November 1967. Now you can see here seven historical gems among which is Orlov diamond 189.62 carats (37.924 g), gold nuggets (e.g. "The Great Triangle", 36.2 kg), different jewelries and the Imperial Crown of Russia, also known as the Great Imperial Crown which was used by the Emperors of Russia until the monarchy's abolition in 1917.
