Breakfast. Today you will go around cities of Caucasus Mineral Waters. You will learn about mineral springs of the region.
Breakfast. Today you will go around cities of Caucasus Mineral Waters. You will learn about mineral springs of the region. The guide will take you to Yessentuki where in the city park you will see mineral water galleries and the building of mud baths built in ancient-roman style and of course you will taste legendary mineral water (Yessentuki-4, Yessentuki-17). Next stop is Zheleznovodsk. You will take a walk along the streets surrounded by 19th century buildings. Fabulous masterpieces such as former summer house of Emir of Bukharia, Pushkin Gallery, Ostrovsky Baths built in Turkish style, Cascade staircase decorate the city park. During our tour you will taste mineral water from a unique hot spring “Slavyanovsky”. Lunch. Then you will visit the oldest city of Caucasus Mineral Waters, Pyatigorsk (1780). You will stroll down the magnificent park Tsvetnik, enjoy the view from Aeolus’s Harp Pavilion and see the famous cave Lake Proval. Pyatigorsk saw many historical events and famous people like Leo Tolstoy, Alexander Pushkin, but the most important without doubt is Russian poet Mikhail Lermontov, who lived here, wrote about this region and died on the duel not far from Mashuk Mountain (1841).
