The old part of the Sitorai Mokhi Khosa built in the end of XIX c. was not kept. Now we can see new building (1912-1918) only. New palace was built in period of Alim Khan, the last Emir of Bukhara by famous local masters and also by Russian engineers being on the Emir of Bukhara service. The palace is designed in Western style but it is divided for male and female parts and has typical Oriental interiors. The Museum of Applied and Decorative Art established here in 1927 presents interior of Emir summer palace (palace furniture of XIX-XX cc., the Chinese and Japanese porcelain of XIV-XX cc., pieces of arts from Russia, jewelry made by famous Bukhara masters, gold-embroidery panels and horse-blankets), collection of gold-embroidery palace clothes, belts, scarves, shoes, embroidery of Bukhara region and household utensils of the end XIX- early XX cc.. The ethnographic department of the exhibition presents typical house interior of Bukhara urban residents.
