During the tour you will visit two symbols of the imperial city: St Isaac's Cathedral and the Peter and Paul Fortress. The Peter and Paul Fortress is the city's oldest construction. The highest building of the fortress is the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul with its golden spire dominating over the flat banks of the city's low-lying islands. It also is the last resting place of the Russian Tsars of the Romanov dynasty. During the tour you will also visit the St Isaac's Cathedral, one of the biggest large-domed cathedrals in the world. The cathedral's facades are decorated with sculptures and massive granite columns, while the interior is adorned with incredibly detailed mosaic icons, paintings and columns made of malachite and lapis lazuli.
